It just doesn’t stop, does it?
LaVar Ball is back at it once more, this time with some interesting quotes about Kyrie Irving. In a recent interview with OVERTIME, the Ball patriarch had this to say about LeBron’s former running mate:
“Lonzo’s not 6’1″ or 6’2″ like Kyrie, Lonzo’s not ball dominant where he’s just dribbling the ball, you watching him try and do a crossover and make a layup down the lane.”
But wait, there’s more.
LaVar also suggested that Lonzo would not play off-the-ball when running next to LeBron. This is interesting, to say the least, considering that LeBron James is arguably the most gifted passer of his generation. I am sure Coach Walton will have different plans. Still, here is what LaVar said about Lonzo not handling the point:
“Lonzo ain’t gonna play off the ball…how is LeBron gonna play point? All he (LeBron) gotta do is run the lane and the pass is gonna be right on the money.”
The are a lot of legitimate questions you can ask regarding the NBA. Questions that will get you a harsh reaction on Twitter, but actually have some merit. Like, if Joel Embiid only shoots 30% from deep, is he a stretch 5? Or, should the Raptors switch it up and trade one of their stars? All great questions to ask.
But “how is LeBron gonna play point?” may be the most unintelligent basketball related question to have ever been spoken..
