Lillard: I Love Where I Am

Despite reports and rumors on Damian Lillard landing in Los Angeles or New York, Lillard is just fine right where he is: Portland.

According to The Oregonian, the All-Star PG isn’t willing to leave the Blazers.

“I’m not unhappy. I love where I live. I love the organization. I love our coaching staff. I love where I am.”

Rumors suggested that Lillard could be on the move, but knowing the type of player Dame is, it was very unlikely to believe that he would be on the move.

Lillard is more focused on how the team can improve the young roster, after the team was swept, by the Pelicans, in the first round of the 2018 Playoffs.

Portland not bringing back Shabazz Napier, Pat Connaughton and Ed Davis are key losses for the team, Lillard describes.

He goes on to say that the team can’t focus on what they didn’t do, but instead, “we’ve got to be ready to go” once the season starts.

When it comes to the best backcours in the NBA, Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum are top tier, but it’s time to start making noise in the playoffs, and that’s where Lillard’s focus is, and he’s not shy about it.

“I’m going to get us there and that’s how it’s going to go.”
