Report: Carmelo headed to Atlanta, Schroder to OKC

Gimme a chance to breathe, Woj.

The dust hasn’t even settled from the Kawhi Leonard trade and we already have another one. This one comes courtesy of Thunder GM Sam Presti and Hawks GM Travis Schlenk.

According to Woj, Carmelo Anthony will be traded to the Atlanta Hawks. In return, the Oklahoma City Thunder receive polarizing point guard Dennis Schroder and Mike Muscala. Check out his tweet below.

Do not expect all of these pieces to stay with their respective new teams for long, though.

Carmelo is still likely headed to Houston. As stated in the tweet above, Muscala may be on the move shortly. The Thunder like Schroder, however, and he could adapt the role once played by current Detroit Piston Reggie Jackson.

OKC gets to save a bunch of money in this deal. The specifics are listed below.

Do you like the deal? Where is Melo headed next?
