LeBron James’ Signing With LA Was A Shock To A Teammate

How shocking was LeBron James’ signing to Los Angeles?

Let Colin Cowherd tell it: LeBron James’ decision to sign with the Lakers was decided a year ago.

Some may not have truly believed LeBron would end up in Los Angeles, like myself, which you can read here.

Whichever side you were on, one thing was for certain: Los Angeles was always a strong option for the King.

During an interview with Leo Sepkowitz of Bleacher Report, Michael Beasley answers a question about if he was surprised LeBron went to L.A.

“A little piece of me didn’t think he’d leave Cleveland, but every time I make a [prediction] like that, it’s always the opposite.”

As one might think, James signing with a team would mean instant attraction to go sign with that same team.

Not so fast for Beasley. He says with James signing and the young core the Lakers have, the roster is stacked, resulting in him crossing L.A out of his mind.

“But my agent had something up his sleeve.”

LeBron and Beasley were previously teammates in Miami.

Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson and Javale McGee join James and Beasley as Lakers’ signees this offseason.
