Agree with Kyle Kuzma?
Everyone knows that LeBron is one of the best ever (including Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey), but the Lakers other offseason additions are question marks to say the least.
While the “meme team” of Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Rajon Rondo and Michael Beasley will be among the most entertaining five-man unit in the league (when you add in LeBron), the team’s chemistry and cohesion on the court is still an open question.
That is, unless you pose the question to Lakers phenom Kyle Kuzma, who had this to say in a recent ESPN article:
“We are both definitely excited about the roster and the pieces that we have, and we think that a lot of people are underestimating us. It is definitely going to be fun playing with all these new guys.”
“A lot of people say we got a lot of different people, a lot of new people,” added Kuzma, who also is holding a three-day camp for children in his hometown. “But change can be a good thing. It is not necessarily always a bad thing. There’s a lot of teams in the NBA that need to work on their chemistry; we are just one of them…
“I don’t know why people kind of just rule us out because we are young. We are hungry. We are competitive. Anybody that watched us play last year, we were in a lot of games.”
Kuzma was certainly hungry and competitive last season, when he averaged 16.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 77 games for the Lakers last year.
Time will tell if his statements prove true in the 2018-19 season, but either way, the Lakers are going to be fun.
