Newly signed Toronto Raptors center Greg Monroe is the antithesis of a stretch five in today’s modern NBA.

However, that hasn’t stopped Monroe from working on his perimeter game. In fact, Monroe has been improving his marksmanship from downtown this offseason, according to recent Tweets from Josh Lewenberg from TSN:

Monroe went on to say:

Clearly, new Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse is looking to employ a more modern approach, much like his predecessor Dwane Casey  used last season to great plaudits — even winning Coach of the Year after he had been fired.

With Kawhi Leonard now on the Raptors, the team should have plenty of space to work with. If Greg Monroe were to develop a three-point shot, the Raptors just got a whole lot more dangerous.
