Are the Clippers L.A’s new hotspot?
All offseason, rumors were swirling surrounding Jimmy Butler and his future with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Butler was reportedly “fed up” with Karl-Anthony Towns, and he also turned down a contract extension with the team.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Butler prefers to be a Los Angeles Clipper.
The Clippers have two max contract slots, and obviously Butler would take one of them. Who do the Clippers sign with the other max contract is the question.
2019 features a loaded draft class with Butler, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and many more.
Kawhi would seem to be the most likely player to join Butler if he lands in L.A. Leonard, too, has recently expressed interest in donning a Clipper uniform.
Butler also has the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets on his radar.
